|Dr Duncan Webb
Dr Webb will discuss topics such as what does a land claim look like, the process and how to take a strategic approach towards a solution. He will provide opinion on the use of techniques such as ILV, jacking and packing and the cost to repair land. Dr Webb will touch on cross lease issues and retaining walls.
Mr Woods will discuss standard of repairs, issues for claimants with EQC, inordinate delay, the process when deadlock with EQC, faulty repairs and the process to follow in this situation.
Mr Woods is heading the EQC Group Action.
|Both will touch on what to do post cash settlements, including the responsibilities of the home owner to repair, implications for future insurance and responsibilities when selling or renting home that has been cash settled.|
|An expert panel including an insurance advocate, engineer and a quantity surveyor will answer questions throughout the evening. Members of the panel will speak to topics such as managing insurance going forward, faulty foundation repairs, the role of MBIE and consenting matters.|
