Another year has come and gone. I wish all long suffering Canterbury policyholders a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Have a restful well deserved break!

Christmas Message 2014post-image

I’m still the Chief Executive
Of New Zealand’s EQC –
And my staff is here to help you,
To bring you certainty.

Gerry’s still the Minister –
Though doors he cannot handle,
His actions at the Airport here
Created quite a scandal.

And yes, there have been changes,
With Bruce no longer here,
And a darkish cloud a-hanging
O’er our favourite engineer.

My staff is always busy,
Just dashing to and fro –
And answering all your questions
On that site called “In the Know”.

Our work with claims continues –
Especially those for land,
Assessed to special formula
That you won’t understand.

We’ll carry on assessing homes –
With visits, – up to ten –
And when we lose your records, – well,
We’ll visit you again!

Your claim may not be settled yet
But please do not despair –
I’ve made this firm commitment
To settle it – next year.

But we’ll tell you where your claim is at
– Because you may not know –
And for you a really special treat,
My Christmas video!
