As discussed here below are the information that confirm the breach of the Consumer Protection Act. The Building Act is in place specifically for Consumer Protection. The modifications below remove a significant part of the Consumer Protection and transfer the risk and liability onto residents and contractors.
The changes below all take place after the government and insurance companies have lodged their claims with the reinsurers. Reinsurers pay full interest from day the damage occurs. Rapid assessment of the damage took place by EQC and Insurance companies so the claims to the re insurers could be lodged.
